Tables and Figures

1. Field Activities
Figure 1 shows the number of researchers joined during the summer campaigns from fiscal 2009 through 2011. The total number is 1,853 person*day in these 5 years. Each color shows the research fields with rapid increment up to 2010 and a decrease in 2011, presumably owing to the earthquake, tsunami and nuclear accident. Costs for the logistics have been supported mostly by private funds gained through competition. The cost for each research is their own.

3. Rental Area from JMA
NPO “Valid utilization of Mt. Fuji weather station” is renting a part of the weather station by a three years contract between with JMA. In the first stage of the contract (July 7 - June, 2009), the area which can be utilized during the winter time was limited to a small area, however, in the second stage (July 2010-June, 2012), it has been expanded, which enabled NPO to start to prepare for the year round observations as well as the clarification of the availability of the fields around the station. The special period allowed to stay at the station (for the reason of safety) has also been prolonged from July 1- August 31(first stage) to July 1-September 10 in the second stage.
